We had our initial appointment with the endocronologist yesterday. We had to wake up early and leave the house by 6:15 a.m. in order to get there by 8 a.m. Luckily, my mom came with us since I'm not good at reading directions and driving at the same time.
It went well and the Dr. is very nice. Hailey was happy it was a girl doctor :). She just had a regular exam, nothing special and then had to have some blood drawn. The poor girl, she had to have 5 viles taken! They made her sit for a few minutes afterwards because they were worried she might be dizzy. Since they send their blood out to California, we won't hear back for 3-4 weeks. We have our consultation meeting on June 2nd, so now we have to wait another month to find out what's wrong with her and figure out where we go from here. I hate the wait!
The twins were so worried about her yesterday too. Sammy borrowed someone's cell phone (hers is broken, we're waiting for her replacement to arrive) and snuck into the bathroom at lunch to call me in the middle of the day to see how the appointment went. Sammy said she cried yesterday too because she was so worried (however, she does have PMS right now too). I had to work last night, and Dylan watched her for a little while, and when I got home Hailey said that Dylan and her went for a bike ride and played basketball and t-ball outside yesterday. He must have been feeling a little worried about her too, since he doesn't usually do that with her! It was nice to hear that he played with her though :) So, I think everyone is just a little more "patient" with Hailey right now, and giving her a little "extra" attention because we are all just so concerned. Not about the precocious puberty, but more for what else it could "possibly" be (tumor). The endocronologist did say that a tumur was rare, but she's not ruling it out. I guess the blood work will give us a better idea, and then we'll do the CAT scan.
After the appointment, we played "hookie" and went to the mall and did some shopping!!! We had a fun girls day out :)
